Edgware SNT Ward Panel
With the consent of the people, serving all of the Communities of Edgware Ward in the London Borough of Barnet.
Meet the Team
The Safer Neighbourhood Team of Edgware Ward is made up of one Sergeant (known as "the Skipper"), two Police Constables and six Police Community Support Officers, as well as one member of the unpaid, part-time Metropolitan Special Constabulary.
|
Sgt Dan Reid; Originally from Croydon in South London, Sgt Dan has been the Ward Sergeant since the SNT was set up. Edgware SNT was one of the first and Sgt Dan was and still is, a bit of a pathfinder when it comes to Community Policing in outer London. Sgt. Dan is an avid Arsenal supporter, but everyone is entitled to one mistake. |

.PC Holly Brand; Holly comes from a special unit within Barnet Police and brings with her an up to date understanding of the way that some of the specialist teams in Barnet work, allowing an even better synergy between the SNT and other parts of Barnet Police serving Edgware.
| PC Steve Garty; Steve has joined us from Oakleigh SNT. He brings with him knowledge learnt from community policing, combined with his previous experience on both uniformed and CID roles. Prior to joining the community teams Steve worked on and was a founder member of the Barnet robbery squad reformed in 2006 under the leadership of Supt. Walton. Steve's police career follows on from his Dad, who recently retired from the Met. | ![]() |

PCSO Dionne "Beckham" Green; Dionne joined the team in December 2006, and has quickly proven to be a valuable asset. Dionne is a trained football coach and her claim to fame is that she played football for Arsenal ladies. She has organised several football tournaments for young people in the area already and has established herself within the team, taking responsibility for planning youth diversionary events. Dionne has recently returned from attachment to the Hotspot Patrol Team.
| PCSO Monique Mason; Monique joined the team in May 2007. She has found her feet in and around Edgware and has become irreplaceable already, taking over responsibilities for managing the various indices within the office. | PCSO Neil Baldwin; One of the original members of the team, Neil had been on the SNT since March 2005, but has, from the end of July, left us to become an instructor at the Peel Centre in Hendon. PCSO Steven "Pogo" Renny; Steve joined us in January 2007. The "young man" of the team, Steve has quickly established himself amongst his peers. Steve has embraced the ethos of the SNT and as a trained criminologist has taken on responsibilities for researching and cascading intelligence to his colleagues. Steve always provides a professional attitude at work despite also being a Spurs fan. | |
| PCSO Mark Prentice; Mark joined us from the Colindale SNT and has been at Edgware since September 2005. Mark won the inaugural PCSO of the month award in July 2006, in doing so, he was recognised as being the highest performing PCSO from the 21 SNT's on the Borough. SPC Fahad Mohamed. The Ward Panel is particularly proud of Special Police Constable Fahad Mohamed. Originally a civilian member of our panel, Fahad joined the Metropolitan Special Constabulary and now, in addition to his full time job in community service, works with Dan and the rest of the team on a voluntary part-time basis. In addition, Fahad is EWP's member on the West Sector Panel; if you need someone to give their time, always ask a busy person. | |
