Edgware SNT Ward Panel
With the consent of the people, serving all of the Communities of Edgware Ward in the London Borough of Barnet.
Meet the Team
The Safer Neighbourhood Team of Edgware Ward is made up of one Sergeant (known as "the Skipper"), two Police Constables and six Police Community Support Officers, as well as one member of the unpaid, part-time Metropolitan Special Constabulary.
|
Sgt Dan Reid; Originally from Croydon in South London, Sgt Dan has been the Ward Sergeant since the SNT was set up. Edgware SNT was one of the first and Sgt Dan was and still is, a bit of a pathfinder when it comes to Community Policing in outer London. Sgt. Dan is an avid Arsenal supporter, but everyone is entitled to one mistake. |

PC Spencer Beaumont joins us from the core response teams at Colindale. An experienced officer, Spencer is looking forwards to his first foray into community Policing. Unbelievably, another Arsenal fan, he's going to fit right in around here. Spencer has recently taken on responsibility for managing our efforts in relation to our pubwatch.
| PC Steve Lucas: Yes another Gooner joins the team and the tradition of a Steve on the ward also continues. This Steve is a highly experienced police officer having served the Met for many years in many different jobs. Translating that into real English, it's unlikely that there is a trick in the book that Steve hasn't already seen and dealt with. Also, don't get any funny ideas of driving off when Steve want's to speak with you as he's got just about all the driving qualifications there are to have............ shame then that the team doesn't have a car!!! |

PCSO Craig Hyder; Apart from Sgt Dan, Craig is now the only original member of the team left, having been with Edgware SNT since February 2005. Craig has a particular responsibility for mentoring new probationary PCSO's and has also established a successful pubwatch that incorporates establishments around the Edgware and Burnt Oak areas. Craig is responsible for liaison with the Jewish community in Edgware...
| PCSO Gemma Evans joins the team direct from training School. Formerly, a professional singer, we're all looking forwards to Gemma making her voice heard around the streets of Edgware. The lone Chelsea fan in the team, Gemma is a true blue. Gemma has taken on responsibility for starting a shopwatch scheme around Station Road and the Broadwalk. |

PCSO Myke Nyaoke joined in September 2008 us straight from the Police College in Hendon. A cinema manager in his previous life, Myke is that most rare of things, an Arsenal fan brought up in Tottenham...... not Enfield, not Haringey, not Wood Green, but close enough to White Hart Lane to hear the groans of the Spurs supporters as the away goals role in. Myke tends to work most Saturdays, so watch out for him and say hello. Myke is now the team lead for Religious organisations on the ward.
| PCSO Laura De-Jesus joined us in December 2008, also straight from training. Laura fits into the team very well as she is another avid Arsenal fan (Yes another one). In fact, Laura was working for Arsenal before she joined the Team. Laura is also a black belt karate master, so make sure you don't mess her around. Laura is now the team lead for Neighbourhood watch schemes. |

PCSO Enzo Bertolone is one of the replacements for Dionne and Steve. He joins us straight from the Police College at Hendon after a career in credit control. Enzo is YET ANOTHER Gooner on the team and, after Arsenal, passionately supports Nandos, where you'll see him most days. Enzo has taken on responsibility for liaising with off licences and betting shops around the ward area.
| PCSO Laura Bowen: "New" Laura is the other replacement for Dionne and Steve and also comes to us straight from Hendon. The lone Spurs fan in the team of Gooners! Laura is now the team lead in relation to contacting elderly or vulnerable people on the ward and managing our response to victims of crime. |

MSC Fahad Mohamed. The Ward Panel is particularly proud of Special Constable Fahad Mohamed. Originally a civilian member of our panel, Fahad joined the Metropolitan Special Constabulary and now, in addition to his full time job in community service, works with Dan and the rest of the team on a voluntary part-time basis. In addition, Fahad is EWP's member on the West Sector Panel and has recently married; if you need someone to give their time, always ask a busy person.
