The Ward panel
This page looks at the work of the Edgware Ward Panel
This doesn't mean that the Ward Panel has operational control over the day-to-day policing within the ward; this still rests with the Ward Sergeant working with the Sector Inspector and the Borough Senior Management Team. What is does mean is that the Ward Sergeant meets regularly with the Ward Panel and invited guests to discuss and set the forthcoming strategies in the form of Priorities or targets, with the SNT then striving to manage the tactical implementation of the Priorities through their usual chain of command. For the current Priorities, please CLICK HERE.
The Ward Panel meets six times a year at locations around Edgware Ward, usually on the second Wednesday of each odd month. The first meeting of the year, usually on the second Wednesday in January, is the AGM, which is open to the public. This meeting elects the Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary, these posts being filled for 2008 by Morton, Laurence and Shirley.
If you live or work in Edgware Ward and would like to join the Ward Panel, or feel you can assist the Ward Panel in its work, please telephone the Ward Sergeant, who will put you in touch with the Panel Chair.

Contacting the Police
The Safer Neighbourhood Team does not operate 24/7 and is NOT a first response part of the Police. In emergency, you should dial 999 and ask the operator for the Police.
